It's Ben Bostrom!! In person!!

I must admit, I only know who Ben B. is because there is a poster of him in my 6 year old nephew's bedroom. Because my sister's family is totally into motorcycle racing, I decided to go to the party/opening of the Ducati store here in Portland because Ben was going to be there. They were excited and I thought I'd get some autographs. You can't tell from this horrific picture, but Ben is Brad Pitt hot and I made all the bike-girl groupies so jealous with my prepped by Jerry inside scoop. Example - "How's your hip after getting high-sided?" I have no idea what that means or what happened, but I talked to him for about 10 minutes! I had all sorts of nuggets like this. His staff were running around looking for a part of a wrecked Ducati that he could sign for Seamus. Since it was an opening, there were no wrecked pieces laying around yet, but they kept saying, "we wish we knew you were coming." I can't tell you how sweet and awesome this guy is - and did I mention how beautiful he is?
The other picture is from www.bikegirl.co.uk/babes/racinghunks.html

Mmmm...S'Mores

Camping with a 2 year old and 4 year old can get a little filthy. Then add marshmellow, chocolate and ash. These pictures were taken from our 'bad karma' campsite on the Metolius. I wasn't thinking about how pissed off other campers might get when we had our local friend in Sisters save us the best spot. It got a little ugly. When we arrived, I had to make up family emergencies to win back the hearts of the unhappy campers around us. Sorry about the disposable camera quality of these pics, but our new 7.1 megapixel camera has arrived! We just need to figure it out now.

Stinkerbell

Paigey's new thing to say, and I'm pretty sure she learned this from Dianne, her transplanted from New Orleans Day Care teacher, is "I on my break." It goes something like this, "Paigey, dear, pick up your crayons if you're done coloring." Sneer and responds, "I on my break." I told Sarah, her other teacher, who turned a deep shade of red, but also later confessed that Paige had told her during crafts on Friday, "I working too hard!"
She also says in the exact same tone as her Grammy tells her, "I a mess". If she starts saying "ya'll", I might have to ship her down to ya'll in New Orleans. Nah, I'd miss the entertainment and the dimples!

More River House pictures

Here are some more recovered pictures from the Deschutes trip with a shot of the awesome house. We are probably going to finally replace our camera in the next week and I took our disposable : ( camera in to get developed yesterday. I can't believe we used to not know immediately how our pictures come out. It's torture. Yesterday the girls and I had lunch in Kevin's office after Parker's gymnastics camp and while in his office Parker Jane held up the phone cord and said seriously, "What is this??" Nope, no corded phones in her life. Not even on the toy phones. So weird. The other cute little girl in the swimming with My Little Pony pictures is our friend's daughter Alex. Check out the river behind the girls, then the house picture was taken from by the river. Pretty sweet.
