Paigey's Fabulous Leap Year Ball

Paigey's Leap Year Ball 4th (1st) birthday was the event of the neighborhood. All the kids, ranging in ages from 2-10, arrived in their best "Ball Attire", got a "Libby Lu" makeover (up-do for the girls and cool hair gel for the boys, sparkles, make-up, stick on earrings, flashy donated jewelry), made tiaras, wands, and/or foam swords and pirate eye patches. Every guest got their picture taken in front of the Prom Arch - PJ and her friends reminded me of teenagers (!!). They ate pizza and drank root beer (the grown ups had a keg in the back), then off to the Ball in the studio where special guest Papa Kevin installed a disco ball and lights for dancing the night away - and eating cake. Paige is still talking about the wonder of it all, and the neighbors are still talking about Kevin's tights.
